1. Introduction

The “Coyote Reads” mobile application (“the App”) is designed to promote early literacy and reading enjoyment for children aged 2–5, in the Hebrew language only. The App is intended for parents of children aged 2–5, who register as users. The App is owned and was developed by COLE THE READING COYOTE LTD., an Israeli company (“the Owner”). The Owner places great importance on protecting the privacy of App users and takes appropriate measures to safeguard their personal information — including information about users under the age of 13. Use of the App is governed by this Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under COPPA (U.S.), GDPR (EU), the Israeli Privacy Protection Law (1981), and the Google Play and Apple App Store policies. By using the App, you — or your parent/legal guardian if you are under 13 — confirm that you have read and accepted this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect and Store

We collect only the minimum information necessary for the operation of the App: Email address (for account creation or login, including via Google sign-in); Nickname that you will be required to choose from a designated list; Analytical usage data (collected via Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics, for internal use only). We do not collect phone numbers, home addresses, photos, payment details, or any other sensitive information. We do not use collected data for advertising, and we never sell or share data with third parties for commercial gain.

3. Children’s Privacy and COPPA Compliance

If a user declares at registration that they are under the age of 13 (“a Minor”), explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian is required before use begins. A Minor cannot use the App without verified parental consent. A Minor’s data is never visible to other users. Parents or legal guardians may at any time review their child’s data, request deletion, or withdraw consent. Requests should be sent to info@coyotereads.com.

4. Purpose of Data Use

Collected information is used solely for: account management and authentication; displaying personalized usage data to the user; improving App performance and stability; and generating internal analytics (via Firebase/Google Analytics). The Owner may use user contact information for direct communications (email or push notifications) regarding App updates or service information, including marketing of the Application. Users may opt out at any time by emailing info@coyotereads.com.

5. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share data with advertisers or external marketing companies. Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics is used solely for performance monitoring and improvement. Analytical data may be viewed only by the user and the system administrator for support purposes. Data is never sold, rented, or traded to third parties.

6. Data Retention and Deletion Rights

User data is retained only as long as necessary for the proper operation of the App. A user (or a parent of a user under 13) may request deletion of all personal data and the user account at any time — directly through the App or by emailing info@coyotereads.com. Upon verification of identity, all data will be permanently erased.

7. User Rights under the EU GDPR

If you are a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights: access, correction, deletion (“Right to be Forgotten”), and withdrawal of consent. Requests should be sent to info@coyotereads.com.

8. Data Security

We employ generally accepted technical and organizational security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. However, no digital system is completely secure. By using the App, you acknowledge this limitation.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranty. The Owner nor Ginger is not responsible for damages — direct or indirect — resulting from use of the App. The App is not intended to replace educational institutions; it is a supplementary tool only.

The Owners make no representation or warranty that the App and/or its use will meet any specific needs or requirements of the User. Use of the App is solely at the User’s own responsibility.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App — including software, source code, models, data, interface design, and related materials – are owned exclusively by the Owner (and, where applicable, licensed from third parties). Users receive a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to use the App. Unauthorized copying, modification, distribution, or publication is prohibited. 11. Termination of Use

The Owner may suspend or terminate any user account at its discretion in case of policy or legal violations, including by blocking IP access.

12. Data Retention Period

Data will be retained only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described herein, unless a longer period is required by law.

13. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated periodically to reflect technological, legal, or operational changes. Users will be notified of material updates via in-App notice or email. The latest version will always be available in the App.

14. Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests

You (or your authorized representative) have the right to review, correct, or request deletion of your data if inaccurate or outdated. Requests should be submitted to info@coyotereads.com.
